Dr Shoshana Garfield, PhD

I started helping others officially when I was a teenager with workshops and peer counselling on date rape. I went on to do social work with homeless women and children, and developed a speciality in domestic abuse/domestic violence. This continued for a long time, interspersed with offering various healing methods. I eventually yearned to make an impact at a greater level, so I did a PhD in psychology, and my research was on treatment programmes for domestically abusive men. Now I've come full circle and work individually again, enriched by all the places I have been before and by the anticipation of what lies ahead.
